Most point-of-sale systems call a server for every basket. In places where the connection wobbles, that means the queue stops every time the line does.
We made the device the place where the sale happens. Stock, prices and customers are already on the till, so nothing in the selling flow waits on a round trip - and the server catches up afterwards.
Sales are recorded on the device and queued, keeping their receipt numbers whether online or not, and sync automatically without duplicates when the connection returns. Cash, Mobile Money and card settle to the same sale, receipts print to standard thermal printers, and each shop runs on its own database with branches, staff sign-in and reports.
